Game-changing technology platforms start with Intel
Enriching the Olympic and Paralympic Games with world-changing technology.
It starts with passion and commitment
The Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024—a time when the world’s best athletes come together, driven by the passion to perform and the dream of achieving great things. At Intel, we share the same ethos, the same determination, and the same dedication. That is why we are proud to be involved in making the Olympic and Paralympic Games better than ever. Whether it is powering the Olympic and Paralympic Games with processors, keeping people connected with Private 5G technology platforms, or utilizing AI to help the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) deliver the Paris 2024 experience more effectively, it all starts here. Are you ready?
Taking the Olympic and Paralympic Games to the next level
The stage is set for an Olympic and Paralympic Games like no other. Take a few moments to explore how we are using the latest technology solutions to deliver the most interactive and immersive experiences the world has ever seen. Game-changing technology platforms start with Intel.
Intel® Processors create an immersive experience with digital twinning
Using Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and Intel® ARC® A770 GPUs, we are creating digital Twins for most of the competition venues. Digital twinning is the process of generating virtual replicas of places, making Olympic and Paralympic Games planning and preparation easier and less time-consuming. These digital twins will help the Paris 2024 Organizing committee position broadcasting cameras and screens more effectively and provide the ability to have functional areas complete virtual visits, virtual training, and pre-event venue preparation/simulations remotely. This can help avoid unnecessary travel to the sites, contributing to reducing the carbon footprint of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
Keeping people connected with private 5G platforms
Intel is bringing incredible connectivity to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. Using an FPGA solution and Intel® Xeon® processors, we’ve made it possible for athletes and fans to enjoy Private 5G during the Opening Ceremony on the River Seine, Marina de Marseille (MAM), Arena Bercy, Paris La Défense Arena et Stade de France (SDF). The high-speed technology solution means people can stay updated throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games, so they don’t miss a second of the action and can share their experiences in real time.
Making the Olympic and Paralympic Games accessible to more people
Paris 2024 prides itself on prioritizing access to the Olympic and Paralympic Games for everyone. That is why, using our artificial intelligence platform, we are building AI solutions and applications that will improve accessibility to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and deliver a better experience for the visually-impaired.
Taking the Olympic & Paralympic Games to a new dimension
At the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Intel® Xeon® processors will power an innovative volumetric video platform that captures and renders high-quality volumetric video at a fraction of the cost of competitive solutions. To engage audiences, Intel hardware powers an end-to-end volumetric video platform that is being used to create a pre-produced content library of 3D captures of athletes. Meanwhile, a volumetric studio in the Olympic Village captures, renders, and makes live 3D footage of athletes available to OBS which distribute them to media rights holders worldwide. Fans can stream the live footage over their TVs, PCs, and smartphones.
AI platform-assisted clipping and distribution (The Intel® Geti™ platform and OBS)
Intel is helping to bring the best of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to fans and athletes more efficiently and effectively. This involves removing the manual operation of highlights packages while still maintaining the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) high editorial standards. An AI platform enables OBS to generate personalized and customized sports videos automatically in real time. This way, every fan on every platform can be reached with the right piece of content—the Olympic and Paralympic Games, at their fingertips.
Identifying the next generation of Olympic hopeful athletes
Intel is using AI technology platforms to fully automate a system designed to democratize access to opportunities for the next wave of sporting heroes. Using Intel® Gaudi®, Intel® Xeon® Processors, and Intel AI platforms the system is helping elite sporting organizations and academies to identify, analyze, and engage talent faster than ever. Using any camera device, even from a laptop or smartphone, the system uses AI platforms and the latest data capture to give clubs and organizations exclusive access to the world’s best up-and-coming stars.

Sports performance platform helping Team GB (Great Britain) swimmers stay ahead through data analysis
For Team GB’s swimming squad, success can be down to the smallest of margins. That’s why they look to data-led sports performance platforms and coaching strategies to give them a competitive advantage. Through Intel® Xeon® Edge® servers and Intel® Xeon® processor-based mobile workstations, the team can track and analyze data to improve performance and give them that vital extra millisecond where it counts. Big successes start with the smallest wins.
